CurrentSimon is a senior partner in the Intellectual Property and Tecnology Group at Squire Patton Boggs and is based in their Birmingham office. Simon specialises in the negotiation of complex IT and business process outsourcing and IT systems integration contracts. In addition, Simon is currently focussing on:- the application of technology to the autommotive, manufacturing and retail sectors, particularly in relation to autonomous and connected vehicles, digital manufacturing, 3D printing, smart cities, artificial intelligence and omni-channel alongside the development of agile contracting models;- the affect of Brexit on the automotive and technology sectors . In terms of wider industry recognnition, Simon is top rated by the Legal Directories and a long standing member of Practical Law for Companies' editorial board on IP/IT matters and is the author of PLC's online Guide to Outsourcing. Finally, Simon also has significant expertise in advising clients on a wide range of information technology, cloud computing, e-commerce, data, cyber security, intellectual property, commercial, logistics, broadcasting and sports related matters.
