Cinema has always been more than just an escape from reality for me. It offers insights into the world in ways that nothing else can. My lifelong love for cinema has influenced both my personal and professional experiences.While working in the music industry, I managed a soundtrack label at Mushroom Distribution Service. This experience gave me a unique perspective on the critical relationship between music and film. Collaborating with producers, composers, and cinema operators allowed me to see a new world. Two particularly enriching experiences were working with The Necks to distribute their soundtrack for their film THE BOYS and with John Clifford White for ROMPER STOMPER.In 2004, I seized the opportunity to become Aztec International Entertainment's first Acquisitions Manager, and film and home entertainment became my sole career focus. Highlights from this time include INSPECTOR REX, INSPECTOR MONTALBANO, and the Nordic hit, BORGEN. In 2012, I founded Hi Gloss Entertainment, a company specialising in high-quality international and local content. Hi Gloss' extensive catalogue of award-winning quality cinema includes several Academy Award nominees and, in 2018, an Oscar win for Iranian director Asghar Farhadi’s THE SALESMAN. Notable other successes include KEDI, and WOMAN AT WAR.Hi Gloss reaches beyond mainstream cinema, offering thought-provoking and popular content to smaller clubs and film societies, as well as high-profile film festivals and special events.
