Upon my transfer to Maleny State High School, I have taken on a Head of IT contract role and Year Level Coordinator responsibilities. A break down of my role, responsibilities and experiences are below. - Classroom teaching (English, SOSE and IT). Classroom delivery involves the use of the regional pedagogical framework 'Art and Science of Teaching'. In addition to this pedagogical framework, a focus on ICT integration exists, using a wide range of Web 2.0 applications to further engage with students and parents. - Student/Educational Data analysis and implementation- Managing and maintaining a complex and diverse IT environment. Ample knowledge of backend systems such as MIS, Website for Schools, Oneschool (OAMPS), Oneportal, IDattend, Blackboard and EdStudio- Implementation and ongoing technical support of the BYOD program. - Implementation and ongoing technical support of Office 365 and other cloud data initiatives. - Deployment and ongoing support of Computers For Teachers fleet. (62 Laptop Devices)- Future implementation of Qparents (System that is accessible by parents and provides direct communication channels and live data updates) - In house IT training and technical support for internal staff and students.- Implementation and development of social media networking, promotion and marketing campaigns. Redevelopment and maintenance of school website and associated public documents. - IT Asset & Budget Management- Collegial relationships with leadership team including Principal (Line Manager), Deputies and HODs- Year 8 Year Coordinator responsibilities such as pastoral care, monitoring absences & general well being, coordinated programs/monitoring with the Guidance Counsellor, Camp organisation and budgeting, parent conferencing and Year 8 teacher management.

Emerald State High School

I commenced my career as a classroom teacher in 2009 at Emerald State High School. My major teaching area is Legal Studies and my minor is Business Communication Technologies. I have also branched out into the delivery and development of Vocational Education and Training subjects, primarily focusing on Business Certificates and some I.T certificates.I was predominantly a senior school teacher. I spent five years as the senior Legal Studies teacher. My moderation and verification over those 5 years was flawless, with no rung movements and very limited adjustment of assessment. I also co-created the new 2014 Legal Studies Work Program based on the new syllabus. For 2-3 years I was also involved with Business Communication and Technologies. I utilised a range of ICT programs to update and modernise the program. I also wrote the new BCT work program for 2014. For 1 year I was the Year 9 Manager. I successfully managed 4 form class teachers and worked cohesively with these teachers to address absence & uniform issues. I also spear headed a project of streamlining the identification and reporting of student welfare concerns. In my last year at Emerald State High School, I coordinated the successful Emerald Study Club (ESC). This was a service that was provided to students every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 3.15pm - 4.15pm. Students had access to teachers (volunteer) for additional assistance or used this time to access school resources to complete homework and assessment. Refreshments were provided along with an incentive program to attend. On average, between 30-40 students attended on each afternoon.
