- Led the definition and delivery of a series of complex global order routing projects for both cash and derivatives markets- Developed detailed business cases for partnership opportunities – market analysis and 5 year DCFs - Led bid team for a $50m strategic partnership opportunity in Turkey- Negotiated partnership agreements with three major global exchange groups - Negotiated with international regulators to gain approval for local sponsored access

- Led a multi-disciplinary team that successfully launched a community-based musculo-skeletal service into 3 locations.- Undertook review of capital development programme resulting in a £2m reduction in capital expenditure and the acceleration of a key project for the provision of an on-site cardiac cath. lab.- Executive sponsor for the Paperless Hospital IT Programme

- P&L responsibility for IT spend in excess of €100m per annum and the delivery of all new software to support the business- Redeveloped multi asset-class settlement price systems; improving quality and reducing operating costs- Launched Co-location facility to attract greater flow from High Frequency Trading firms- Replacement of legacy grading & warehousing system for physical commodity products - Led the programme to transform the trading platform from Sun Solaris to HP Linux leading to major cost reductions coupled with performance and capacity improvements- Led systems and operations changes facilitating early opening to capture Asian orders- Launched OTC product offerings – cscreen & Bclear- Upgraded bandwidth of customer access telco circuits to increase speed of market data - Created and lead PMO and Business Analysis functions charged with delivering business and IT projects totaling €50m per annum

- Responsibility for the design, development and implementation of two new versions of the LIFFE CONNECT® trading platform- Replaced five trading and clearing systems with a single integrated platform providing additional capacity and functionality to support different international market models- Generated annual operating savings of some €20m per annum by closing three market operations centres in Paris, Brussels and Lisbon- Delivered significant additional revenue due to wider international distribution

- Led a team of 120 business and IT professionals that transformed LIFFE from a floor-based open outcry derivatives exchange to an award winning internationally distributed electronic exchange.- Delivered ahead of schedule and within £75m budget; achieved a 50% reduction in annual operating costs.- Obtained US regulatory approval for the new trading platform to enable US customers to directly access the system from their home location.
