About Simon Lucas
I’m a music and event fanatic. Maybe it’s because my parents always played music in the house, ranging from punk and alternative to R&B and soul. My first concert found me in the first row of Earth, Wind and Fire and the second was on the floor for Green Day's American Idiot Tour - I was view! 11 years later, as a sophomore in Tallahassee, I worked on my first concert. Throughout my undergrad, I worked on 38 other concerts, clubs, and theme nights for FSU, FAMU, and TCC students. Then, I graduated.I remained in Tally, which became my home base, co-founded The Tribe Hospitality and immediately began expanding. For the next 24 months, we created a total of 71 concerts, club, and themed nights across three states, seven cities, and for students at 20 colleges throughout the Southern United States for a total of 109 shows.I have been asked how I know what to book. The only answer I could think of is my gut. I know what college students want. I understand the music they like and the trends they follow since I like the very same. I could feel the vibe on campus and beyond and would book concerts and create events accordingly.Marketing, creative, data strategy and analytics, talent buying, partnership creation, digital media, tour planning, event staffing, and event production were the tools to help get it done. I have also managed event budgets ranging from $500-$120,000.All of these events represent an estimated $960,000 in ticket sales, and my collaborative efforts generated over $1,000,000 in bar revenue for our partnered venues. This underscores my commitment to an outstanding experiential and financially beneficial event—a win-win for all involved parties.Now I work for the MOST LEGENDARY MUSIC FESTIVAL IN THE WORLD!
