Key Responsibilities• Manage the sales function for specialized high value equipment spare parts Australia wide for major customers such as Amcor, PMP, Visyboard and Carter Holt Harvey.• Manage inventory valued at $5M located in various warehouses around Australia, plus consignment inventory with overall responsibility for annual stock takes.• Preparation of monthly sales and inventory reports.• Oversee all purchasing and expediting of spare parts from overseas suppliers.• Oversee the preparation of quotations.• Set and review pricing strategy.• Review all freight arrangements for exports and imports and national distribution.• Develop customers’ relationships and ensure timely action on customer feedback.Major Achievements Saved $70,000 in the first year on freight costs through the rationalization of import procedures and negotiation with freight companies. Reduced inventory by $1.2 million through a combination of returning slow moving parts to suppliers, initiating special offers to customers, targeting overseas parts dealers and negotiating with suppliers to purchase spare parts packages on a sale or return basis, or as consignment stock holding.
