As a director of Developer Relations at ZeroTurnaround, I run a team of skilled Developer Advocates that cover JRebel, XRebel local, JRebel for Android and XRebel Hub. As an group we advocate many aspects of the Java technology as well as product through webinars, the RebeLabs blog, speaking at conferences and user groups, feeding customer interactions back and supporting the marketing and sales teams. My role oversees our activities making sure we're executing based on an advocacy strategy that is inline with the business. My tasks include interacting with sales, marketing, engineering and the exec team, budget management, strategy and execution planning, team planning, as well as the more hands on conference speaking, running user groups and making awesome videos!I have presented at major conferences around the world, including, JavaOne, Devoxx Belgium, France and UK, JavaZone, JavaLand, JFokus, JAX London, JAX SF, JMaghreb, JDC, IBM Impact, IBM Innovate, LJC Open Conference and many more. My passion and drive is around communities, so I continues to work with local JUGs and present regularly at user groups as one off sessions or JUG tours around countries such as France JUG tour (9 sessions across 5 JUGs) and Poland (3 sessions across 3 JUGs). I present on various topics such as Java Productivity tips, Java/Java EE Application Servers, Java and JVM languages, Classloaders, and Java 8/9 and much more.I'm the founder and leader of the worlds fastest growing Java User group, the Virtual JUG, which hosts virtual Java sessions, a book club, podcast and a 24 hour virtual Java conference! I'm a technical writer and an editor with RebelLabs, a research & content think-tank established by ZeroTurnaround.
