Despite living in a ‘connected age’ and never before having so much choice about how we communicate, the ability to find our voice (engage, inspire, lead and influence) has never been more difficult or challenging.Whatever your role and whatever your challenge - effective communication is key to your success. I recently discovered that helping people reach their true potential by empowering them to be highly effective spoken and written communicators is something I am passionate about, it's my 'Purpose'.After many years working up through the treasury of a bank, achieving a high distinction average for my MBA, appearing and presenting on mainstream news channels, consulting and being hired as a professional negotiator - I thought I knew it all. The expression ‘Fig Jam’ comes to mind!BUT… a Black Isle workshop in 2012 changed everything. My way of thinking, doing business, relationships, and even life, was transformed almost immediately. I found myself thinking…1. “This is so simple, easy to learn and effective. Where would my career be if I had learned this 20 years ago?”2. “Why don’t they teach this on an MBA?” Nowadays, I get immense satisfaction from coaching people in practical skills and tools that empowers them to change their world (both professionally and personally). I enable people to ‘Find their Voice’ and ‘Live a Life that Matters’. Work is a large part of our daily lives. If it was easier, and you were more successful, there would be greater freedom to explore and realise your true career potential AND spend more time doing the things that REALLY fulfil you. For me that’s family, playing golf with my son, cycling, sailing, travel, giving back to society and occasionally reading a good book. OzHarvest is a non-denominational charity and the first in Australia to rescue and distribute excess food, direct and free of charge, to over 600 charities. Every $1 raised for OzHarvest means that we can deliver the equivalent of two meals to Australians in need.
