Working closely with the CEO of Westpac Institutional Bank and key stakeholders on business development, strategic initiatives, M&A and growth opportunities for the business. Some of the projects I worked on:- the initiation, development and execution of a major restructuring of WIB's International business. This involved identifying the core issues, dealing with many people across the Group to develop a workable model that delivered growth and better governance, benchmarking against global best practice, taking the proposal through approval of all stakeholders, the Executive Team and CEO, implementing the program through development of a new, senior Head of International role including an agreed job description and statement of accountability, ensuring all legal and regulatory issues were covered; - assessing, reviewing and implementing plans on several business units that were potentially shifting into the Institutional bank. This involved working with senior management of those business units, understanding their issues, risks, costs, challenges and opportunities, developing recommendations and transition plans for the CEO and Executive Team while ensuring good outcomes for the Group and our people; - running cost and efficiency reviews on several existing projects and businesses that lead to substantial savings and business improvements; - the sale of Yieldbroker to Tradeweb.I used my extensive internal and external networks, my analytical and strategic skills, my ability to achieve agreed outcomes despite differing agendas within tight timelines, my knowledge of the Bank's global legal, regulatory and other obligations, my experience as a senior leader and manager as well as a company director, and an ability to unify people at all levels around a common sense of purpose to achieve strong results.

I was responsible for over 80 salespeople globally distributing Westpac's Financial Market products across FX, Fixed income and Commodities to our corporate and institutional customers, delivering great customer outcomes and returns for our shareholders. The changes I made rapidly improved our standing with both institutional and corporate clients through an improved coverage model, attracting top talent from both domestic and investment banks while retaining our existing strong performers, implementing a regular client review process with clear metrics, bolster our time facing clients by improvement workflows (e.g. through better use of existing technology), creating a strong performance culture based on transparency and constant feedback, improving internal working relationships with the product, trading, compliance and legal teams, getting better 'bang for our buck' from our marketing efforts including stepping up our use of social media and better and more selective use of Westpac's strengths such as our Economics and Strategy teams. This lead to Westpac leaping to the top of most panels for our key government clients, a 24% increase in revenue without changing overall headcount, strong client feedback validated by excellent outcomes in market surveys such as Peter Lee, and significantly improvement staff sentiment.

Head of FICC Trading. I was responsible for over 80 traders globally trading all Financial Market products across FX, Rates, Credit, Carbon & Electricity and Commodities, delivering great customer outcomes and returns for our shareholders. Throughout this period the business consistently achieved good revenue outcomes while staying within all risk limits; delivered agreed targeted customer outcomes through a joint focus with partners in distribution and origination; worked with colleagues in compliance and legal as well as our key global regulators; initiated and delivered on important technology and business projects such as the IBOR transition. I lead the business through several major challenges, especially the disruptions caused by Covid, which involved a combination of risk management, clearly understanding and explaining our risks to internal and external stakeholders, regular interaction with key regulators on the state of Westpac's own risks as well as the state of the market, and ensuring our people could operate safely and in a compliant manner. We did all of this while delivering record revenues for the 2020 fiscal year.

Previously I was a member of the Board Audit Committee. In my time on this Board I actively participated in the ASX buying its 49% shareholding in 2014, the hiring of a new CEO, and major improvements to the company's governance, Board, technology and financial success. This lead to the company being purchased by Tradeweb, a global trading platform. I was an active member of the Board sub-committee managing the Tradeweb M&A transaction, from initiation, negotiations and completion.
