I am an experienced genomics researcher whose frustration with current data analysis tools led to the formation of BlokBio - where we are on a mission to build Intelligent Genomics Workflows that make genomics data analysis more efficient and accessible to accelerate discovery cycles.I have led the functional genomics (FGG) group at the Patrick G Johnston Centre for Cancer Research at the Queen's University Belfast since 2012. The group is focused on utilising integrative functional genomics to identify novel vulnerabilities associated with cancer development and treatmentI jointly led the establishment and am an academic lead of the QUB Genomics Core Technology Unit and have helped lead the development of core computational infrastructure to support genomics and cancer research. I am also a scientific co-founder of cancer vaccine technology company AilseVax.
