Ensure suitable quality of all purchased products across the group, and that the highest possible standards on products are upheld.Achievements in this role included:1 Created a procurement brand standards manual of core commodities, including operational application and use thereof; global market research and technical specifications to inform competitive benchmarking and optimal product sourcing; and a customised supplier risk matrix aligned to business and customer experience impact.

Category management of various equipment and supply commodities, primarily that of tabletop.With high capital investment in group standardised product, focus was primarily on cost containment and ensuring relevance of product offering.Achievements within this role included:1 Clawback of outstanding rebate income in excess of 12% of annual category spend.2 Negotiated stock-holding structures with suppliers to improve service delivery and reduce cost impact of ad-hoc buying.

Promoted from Complex Operations Controller, the Materials Manager, as part of the resort Executive Operating Committee, was accountable for end-to-end supply chain management, including procurement, warehousing, distribution and inventory control.Key achievements included:1 Established inventory management principles such as min/max levels and demand forecasting to inform ordering, directly reducing over/under-stocking of products primarily imported cross-border, and reducing monthly stock obsolescence;2 Agreed with operational stakeholders a standardised product catalogue with negotiated pricing to mitigate risk of inferior product imported cross-border monthly;3 Successful integration of maintenance procurement, previously outsourced, into the control environment, with significant impact on stock availability for operational improvement, and cost reduction.
