This overall team hired the world’s best minds for Office, Skype, Bing/MSN, and Yammer, which collectively constituted Microsoft’s largest Engineering Group - ASG. Successfully managed the merger of four previously independent Staffing groups into a large group of 120 professionals, subsequently reducing operating costs by a third while maintaining the highest quality of delivery, and retaining our top Staffing talent. Evolved a new strategic staffing model to help take the business to the next level. Drove innovative methodologies to increase the proportion of hires from our top competitors and PhD programs, and successfully focused the intensity of our hiring into the business’ highest impact, critical talent gaps (including Diversity), while maintaining the necessary volume of 'regular' hiring. Received multiple commendations from the head of the business and our HR leader, as well as my team, over my tenure. -

Also worked as executive recruiter on projects directly for the CEO and the Board, working on external succession planning and hiring for the most senior roles at the company, including the CEO succession project (mostly not using search firms). The team hired the most senior executives and Board members of Microsoft, plus instituted innovative programs such as an External Succession Planning program, which was completely integrated into the company's Annual Executive People Review rhythm, in partnership with the central Talent Management group. Managed the most senior individual contributors in the recruiting function at Microsoft, including Program Managers, Researchers, and senior Client Consultants. This group was, and still is, widely regarded as a benchmark for the Executive Recruiting function by other members of the Fortune 100. -
