Simon Núñez de Arenas FraileM.Arch. & M.U.P (07/99)ETSA LPGC ,Spain, 1999RA-COAChttps://www.instagram.com/simon.naf_portfolio/Simon has over 22 years of professional experience working on in the hospitality, commercial, residential,mixed use, cultural, urban design and landscape sectors in Europe, the Middle East, South East Asia and India.He has participated in more than 80 projects worldwide ranging from parks and hotels in Holland to top end luxury villas and cultural centers in Bahrain or large master plans in UAE and Qatar.Currently he is in charge of the Indian Subcontinent Design Team at Aedas Singapore, creating global/local design solutions for the fast growing and exciting Indian market. Simon was the lead designer of the New Exhibition & Convention Centre at Pragati Maidan in Delhi.Following his formative years in The Netherlands, working at Mecanoo Architects after graduating in 1999, Simon worked in Spain as a freelance leading several International competitions with well-known local firms. After several years moving between Madrid, Bahrain and Dubai he relocated to Bangkok in 2010 where realized projects with Orbit Design Studio include the new Procter & Gamble R&D Headquarters in Singapore, Pepsi Co Headquarters in New York and India and iconic spaces like the Above 11 roof-top club in Bangkok. He also worked as a freelance in Thailand offering design consultancy services in South East Asia and the MENA before moving to Singapore in 2014.Simon has a passionate eye for contemporary design and a solid technical background, which allows him to efficiently design and manage the projects while being able to communicate and coordinate with the diverse disciplines involved in the design and building processes.As a young architect he lectured at the University of Paraiba in Brazil and at his own university in the Projects Department. His works are published in several magazines and books.
