    As CTO of Marken, I have ultimate responsibility for all IT, from our internal systems to our infrastructure.I am on the Executive Committee, reporting directly to the CEO. I support our strategic goals by discovering, developing and implementing the highest quality, most innovate technical solutions we can.During my time at Marken, we have upgraded or replaced almost every aspect of Marken's Infrastructure and systems:- Replaced the legacy 25 year-old VB-DOS system with an in-house developed, bespoke, private-cloud hosted, RESTful ERP web-application with zero downtime. The new system runs 24/7/365 with 99.9% availability including off-continent disaster recovery.- Facilitated the in-house development team in partnership with a small off-shore team.- Developed market-leading, Clinical-Trials focussed, private-cloud hosted Warehouse Management System.- Oversaw connectivity upgrades and network expansion via both our internal MPLS network vendor and various ISPs across the globe.- Consolidated a central pricing database, including a Proposal and Tariff management system.- Upgraded the email infrastructure, including multi-site & off-site redundancy & access.- Integrated our systems with clients, vendors, and of late our new Marken Sentry device for real-time location and environmental tracking information.I am committed to finding the best possible solution to help support people’s needs. As Technology is so deeply and inescapably intertwined in our daily working lives, this means working together throughout my company, collaborating on a solution and bringing it to fruition.There is deep satisfaction in seeing people’s lives made easier, when they often find technology a frustration.
