About Simon Pasinati

A transformational leader building resilient and sustainable operational businesses focusing on strategy and development whilst still being responsible for business unit operational performance heading up expansive delivery teams. I have learnt that strategy is about making choices, it's about deliberately choosing to be different. "A leader is not measured by how many followers they have, but how many followers they have inspired to lead." AnonWorking within a competitive market, how we do business evolves. Roles and structures adjust, managing teams through ambiguity and leading in unsteady conditions, navigating your way through the challenges of change, opportunities and alliances appear and must be nurtured.“The ability to learn faster than your competitors may be the only sustainable competitive advantage.”Arie de GeusCreated a culture of collaboration in an environment conducive to solution based thinking through innovation. Able to focus on the development of individuals as a mentor, preparing emerging leaders for the next stage of their careers. A strong focus on improving the well being of all team members over the journey.Further studies have taken me on a new career path, coming from a trade background I am now completing my MBA at University. "The best leaders I’ve gotten to know aren’t just the boldest thinkers; they are the most insatiable learners." John Gardner

After 30+ years in the Power Industry with Infrastructure and Asset owners and Principal Service Providers, I have taken the opportunity to open a consultancy practice representing companies both Nationally and Internationally whilst also mentoring small business owners locally. We are in an age of turbulence in which chaos, risk and uncertainty characterise many industries, markets and companies. Turbulence in effect has become the new norm, punctuated by intermittent spurts of prosperity and downturn. To be able to give real value and offer benefit through outcomes during these turbulent times is something that gives me great pleasure, taking my broad capability and aligning that with a client's needs to add measurable value to their business.A fundamental fact dominates our lives: We want more than we can get, commonly, expertise. Our inability to get everything we want is called scarcity. Scarcity is universal, it confronts all businesses. My experience brings a substantial amount of expertise in operational businesses, both from a theoretical perspective (MBA) and practical application over many years in Senior Management roles with real results.Having the vision for the success of a business and able to inspire and influence the team while positively pushing forward the vision, always maintaining a passionate belief in its potential success and helping people to be their best.Able to build strong teams and bring everything together, proficient in resource acquisition and business systems capitalising on my knowledge and the mission to create a disciplined, ethical, business culture driving great performance and business success.Business and Management Consultancy Services include;->Business Development and Strategy->Business Transformation - In/Outsourcing->Operational Optimisation->Operation/Contract/Program/Project Management->Smart Grid Mass Deployment - Advanced Metering Infrastructure-> New Energy - Solar, Battery, EVCS

General Manager - Metering Services

Melbourne, Victoria, Au

Service Stream approached me to head up their metering business after experiencing financial stress and providing a poor delivery experience to clients. Within the first 3 months of my tenure, two major contracts in the metering space were not renewed, essentially providing a clean slate.I was able to secure a trial agreement in Queensland and began building the business with 5 metering technicians in 2021. Over the course of the next 3 years, the business grew to generate revenue of $65 million per annum with a strong EBIT result in line with budget. The team itself that I was directly responsible for was made up of 350 people with six of those being direct reports to me. Included in that were the functions of Field Delivery, Commercial Management, Deployment Management and Compliance with the Field Deliver team having over 250 metering technicians in field each day Nationally performing over 20,000 meter exchanges per month. The services being delivered diversified from being a pure meter installation team to also incorporate New Energy. Working with clients to secure Government funding, we began the installation of public infrastructure in NSW by way of public charging stations mounted on Network poles completing the entire installation and commissioning process along with the pre-assembly of the charging units in our factory. This extended to the installation of charging stations in Victoria through commercial agreements with the likes of Royal Melbourne Hospital. Wanting to move further into the New Energy sector, I secured a project in Newcastle through an American infrastructure owner (Powin) specialising in BESS installation and management globally. The scope included test, commission and maintain batteries at a brand new Waratah facility engaging over 20 technicians each day.
