Responsible for leading the mobile and web application engineering groups within LifeScan. Priorities include budgeting, determining onshore and offshore development mix, driving new product development features ,modernizing mobile architecture, optimizing team performance and agile delivery methodology and delivering process improvements.

• Provided leadership of the selection of MCX cloud infrastructure and software development strategy.• Lead the program to create our own cloud based service platform including budget proposals, architectural reviews, vendor proposals and selection process, design and delivery of the new platform including integrations with existing and new vendors. • Led the technical teams that designed & delivered the integration services for several fortune 500 retailers that leverage the mcx mobile payments platform. Retailers included fuel, dining and QSR and big box retail segments.• Lead the technical deployment of the MCX SDK rollout, allowing merchants to deploy CurrentC features and functionality in their own applications while still being compliant with MCX operating rules. • I led the technical architecture, design and development, discussions with both internal product teams as well as national 3rd party vendors who would enable the integration among our major systems. • Lead the implementation of the MCX Fuel program delivering a new and innovative method to use mobile payments at the fuel pump. Currently in pilot with 4 major oil companies.

• Built and lead a dedicated mobile development team of 30 mobile developers creating and supporting all of Barclaycard US mobile apps including ios, ipad and android servicing apps and ios and android mobile payments apps. • Lead a team of 5 direct and 20 indirect reports and transitioned them from a waterfall development methodology to an agile methodology (SCRUM).• Mentored development staff to enable them to lead growing teams within the mobile area. • Managed a technology project budget of $5M. • Responsible for driving innovative technology solutions to customer problems including Peek simple balance feature for Barclaycard US mobile servicing platform, the first deployed mobile quick balance view feature. • Lead the design and development teams that created Barclaycard US first 5 star rated app on the apple app store. • Lead the technology team responsible for the development of Barclaycard US’s bPay mobile payments solution. • Lead the creation of the Barclaycard application development UI/UX team generating first year cost savings of $750K• Responsible for developing technical and functional roadmaps for both servicing and mobile payments apps • Responsible for managing staffing and technology provider vendor relationships. • Responsible for leading development and UI design efforts for all of Barclaycard US mobile apps Responsible for Hiring, Mentoring, Performance evaluations and development plans for the mobile group.

• Managed a team of 8 mobile developers building a mapping api’s and mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms. • Delivered release versions of Android and iOS API’s that were to be released at MWC 2011 • Refocused development efforts around api performance and delivered significant user experience and performance improvements. • Participated in architecture alignment between Navteq and Nokia api and service development teams • Provided technical guidance and assisted with problem solving performance and graphics related issues. • Lead the team during the transition to an agile development methodology, the team was able to successfully accomplish several milestones ahead of plan. An additional challenge was that the team was split geographically between the east and west coasts. • Supported sales process for the automotive industry by building functional demo applications that highlight Navteq traffic data and service capabilities. • Managed resource allocation across four projects to ensure successful completion of goals. • Worked closely with an outside vendor that is responsible for enabling the “Trapster application“ on a windows 7 phone. I closely monitored the project scope, project staffing and timelines and raised red flags to senior management when the vendor’s performance failed to meet targets.• Retained key contributors on the mobile development team by converting contractors to full time positions.• Worked with cross divisional team to create mobile client api for Navteq Location point advertising.
