Cathexis Labs was a food technology startup which provided a refrigerator installed consumer electronics device which predicted food spoilage, and alerted consumers, allowing them to eat their food before it became inedible.

- Conceived, developed, patented and launched new communication device, allowing the company's products to communicate directly to industrial production line controllers, dramatically expanding market reach and grossing $1.3M (>10 percent of company's gross revenue) within first year, far above forecast.- Lead top-down redesign of flagship product to improve look, customer interface, serviceability and production time. Improvements resulted in increases in customer satisfaction, profit margin (from 33% to 52%) and number of units sold.- Launched technology team (encompassing R&D and product development) and coordinated work of new employees with established manufacturing, operations and accounting teams.- Expanded project capabilities to include advanced technologies, including robotic automation, machine vision part placement identification, mark verification and final product quality assessment. These broadened offerings allowed the company to attract more potential customers by removing their reliance on more expensive machine integrators.

Implemented smarter customer support strategies including remote login assistance and online tutorials, reducing travel to customer location for repair and shorter downtime.

Repaired laser marking systems on-site at customer manufacturing facilities, working closely with customer engineers at top U.S. domestic manufacturers -- totalling more than 100 round trip flights a year to keep up with intense client service and technical education demand.

Developed production line testing unit, verifying valid circuitry, communication capability and CPU operability on finished product. Delivered, installed and tested at client's production facility.
