I worked on feasibility studies to use waste wood products (municipal waste wood, forest slash, etc) in biomass heat and combined heat and power applications. In many cases this is a chance to use a plentiful local waste stream to offset fossil fuels or replace outdated practices such as open pile burning.

This was a full-time, nine-month research position requiring persistence, problem solving, and a thorough knowledge of chemistry.
