About Simon Baggley-Rosser
Risk Management Expert with 20+ Years of Experience in Various SectorsAs a risk management expert, I believe that a new and holistic approach is required to manage all elements of risk. My experience in various sectors, from the voluntary sector to LAs, SMEs, and Multinationals, has taught me that departments within a business can often operate in silos, leading to poor communication and increased risk. To address this, I advocate for a culture of collaboration, empowerment, and adaptability, where everyone has the authority to identify and control risks in whatever form they appear.Over the past 20 years, I have had the opportunity to work with both good and poor leaders, cultures, and practices. Through these experiences, I have gained valuable insights and developed effective strategies for managing risk. Notably, I have been involved in several successful projects that have significantly reduced risk and improved business outcomes. As a Fellow of a number of organisations including the IIRSM, the Institute of Leadership and Management, and the RSA, and a member of a number of others, I am committed to staying up-to-date with the latest developments in my field and collaborating with like-minded professionals to tackle pressing issues related to OSH, Risk and Leadership. Additionally, as a committee member of the Hereford and Worcester Working Well Together group, I am dedicated to promoting health, safety, and wellbeing in the local community and local SMEs.On a personal note, I am a proud grandparent, and a pet owner. I am Married with two stepchildren and two grandchildren and they and two dogs and seven chickens (six of which are 'rescue hens'!) keep me busy outside of work and remind me of the importance of taking a holistic approach to life.
