Established mid-COVID, in 2021, M.SIMONS is a gallery space in Amsterdam's historical city center. The gallery is mainly focused on painting and prints since the 1980's. Though as artistic practices are becoming increasingly interdisciplinary, the gallery also accomodates various other media, such as photography and sculpure.

AM.OK is a Modern orchestra led by Tijn Wybenga. As part of the board, I am treasurer to the foundation.

Willem Baars Projects is a gallery and art advisory. As a specialist in Modern and Post-War painting and sculpture, Willem Baars Projects represents 10 artists and artist estates and deals in work by Jean Arp, Louise Bourgeois and Günther Förg among others.As gallery director, I am responsible for long term strategies regarding the gallery as well as strategies specific to artists, sales and marketing and gallery and fair operations.

MISCHKIN was a two year project, run by Doeshka Vrede and Michiel Simons. MISCHKIN a publisher of artist prints by upcoming artists targeted at an audience of 25 to 45 year old collectors.Janine van Oene, Nazif Lopulissa and Ciro Duclos were among the collaborating artists. Prints were sold through Instagram as well as release parties. MISCHKIN also curated exhibitions, most notably an exhibition at ACEC Apeldoorn.Responsibilities:- Production- Finance- Sales

- Training and leading of sales and support staff.- Setting up long-term sales and buying strategies.- Headed research and production of the Banksy prints catalogue.

At LionelGallery, an art dealer based in the Amsterdam Art district that specialises in prints by Banksy, Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol and KAWS, I was hired as head of sales. Responsibilities:- Artwork research and creating sales strategies for specific artworks.- Designing customer experience and creating plans for optimization.- Setting up and implementing online sales strategies using the platforms ArtNet and Artsy.

Lingbeek Taxaties is an Art Valuer based in the greater Amsterdam region.Responsibilities- Setting preliminary values for artwork- Cataloguing artwork collections

Responsibilities:- Creating and implementing long term strategies specific to Vault17's artists.- Creating exhibitions, writing press releases and active sales of artwork.

Vault17 was an Amsterdam-based gallery which represented a group of young artists. I worked at Vault17 researching the online art market for my Bachelor thesis.

Needing experience as a gallery employee in B2C high-value sales, I applied for a part-time job as sales assistant at Suitsupply's stores.

With the newly gained experience of setting up sales strategies and implementing calling scripts, I decided to pause my studies for half a year and set up sales projects for SMB.Notable projects:ReadMore FREEThis startup that wanted to revolutionize the online magazine industry, needed 200 active users for their free service. I led a team of 20 students that cold called football clubs to sign them up for the service.Readmore B2BAs Readmore was looking for a secondary stream of income, I spearheaded a project in which we used their existing magazine software in order to make a cataloging tool which we sold to B2B clients.Allington Real EstateA broker in commercial real estate had a couple of large office buildings which needed users. I created and implemented a strategy targeting start-up companies that were looking to expand.MTCompanyMark Tichgelaar is the Dutch trainer when it comes to speed reading. MTCompany was looking for more clients in the 35 - 45 y/o range. I created a strategy and wrote a script targeting Law Firms and Pharmaceutics companies.

StudentenBureau is a headhunting service for companies to find high level interns and trainees. I applied for this job in order to gain commercial experience. Cold calling a 100 companies per day, I gained experience in B2B sales, building sales scripts as well sales and marketing strategies for small and medium sized teams.
