The key responsibilities are to oversee the care, control, management and performance of Wentworth Park Sporting Complex, ensuring compliance with legislative and governance responsibilities.Wentworth Park was first gazetted as a public park in 1885 and is reserved under the Crown Lands Management Act 2016 for the public purpose of recreation, functions, community and sporting events.Wentworth Park Sporting Complex currently comprises sporting fields and amenities; temporary secondary school facilities; grandstand with licenced facilities, function rooms, offices and tenancies; other ancillary buildings, some heritage listed; and, a greyhound racing track licenced to the Greyhound Breeders Owners and Trainers Association (GBOTA). Races open to the public are conducted by GBOTA on Wednesday and Saturday evenings throughout the year.
