I lead The Insight Centre's social intelligence research, providing deep understanding of complex problems through the analysis of how people perceive, interpret and react to social cues in online environments.

My research applies network analysis techniques to map fields of artistic practice to understand how styles of music evolve and innovate. Using Australian improvised music as a case study, it examines how musicians adopt and develop new approaches to their music.Combining quantitative and qualitative techniques spanning sociology and musicology, the research comprises a collaboration between research institutes at Western Sydney University (the MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour & Development and the Institute for Culture and Society), the University of New South Wales, Earshift Music and the Australian Music Centre.

In addition to providing the solution architecture function to accommodate the growing business operations and opportunities, this role also encompassed developing the AMC's strategic and business plans. This work culminated in the organisation's successful application for Four Year Funding from the Australia Council (2021-2024).

This role led a comprehensive organsiational change program which enabled a key cultural organisation to operate principally in the online environment. My role encompassed the development of business plans and funding, through to stakeholder management and the agile delivery of a suite of software comprising e-commerce, marketing, membership and library functions.
