London Borough of Merton, Financial Services dept, London, February 2017 – January 2019Client Financial Affairs Officer• Provided a wide range of financial support for social service clients• Acted as Appointee by order of the Court of Protection • Completed comprehensive reports to be presented to the Office of the Public Guardian detailing the current living situation, health and financial stability of social service clients• Worked closely with the Welfare Benefit Agency• Visited Appointee/Receivership clients in their own homes, Nursing/Residential Care Homes or Hospitals as necessary, to discuss future and on-going arrangements or to serve legal documents on behalf of the Court of Protection• As directed by the Court of Protection, arranged for the sale of the client’s house/flat by appointing suitable Estate Agents and engaging the conveyancing services of Merton’s Legal Section or an external solicitor• Undertook the settlement of deceased clients’ estates• Liaised with Solicitors, Doctors, Coroners, Share Registrars, Financial Institutions and an array of overseas representatives when determining the existing financial circumstances of clients
