I spent 12 1/2 years in the NZ Army as an Engineer before moving back to New Plymouth, where I gained work as an oil and gas cementer for Halliburton NZ. I have worked as the Regional Sales Manager for TESCo. Ltd, a pneumatics supply company based in New Plymouth. Recently I worked as a Sales Rep at Tradezone in New Plymouth for 3 ½ years. During my time in the army I deployed to Iraq in 2003-2004 as an Army Engineer to assist with local reconstruction efforts. I was involved installing water supplies in schools and improving several buildings including a local medical clinic and a water treatment plant. I was also involved with expedient bridge construction. I have worked on offshore and onshore rigs, involved with oil, gas and geothermal operations. I am skilled at rigging and dogging operations with cranes, trucks and other vessels. I have planned and participated in multiple basic and complex lifts, involving up to two cranes and other assorted equipment. I have planned and setup operational equipment at several site locations both onshore and offshore. I have been responsible for mixing and pumping several different products, including cement slurries, acid flushes, and drilling mud and fluids. I have experience on performing operational tasks and preparing, compiling and presenting reports detailing past, current and future operations. I have experience maintaining vehicles and operational equipment. I am currently living in Perth, WA, where i spent 3 months working at Mcdermott Aviation in Jandakot as a Refueller/Ground Support for their Fire Control Helicopters during the 2019-2020 fire season. Since Feb 2020 i have been with KLS Epiroc as a Wireline Field Engineer, predominantly based out of FMG Metals Christmas Creek Iron Ore Mine in the Pilbara.
