About Simon Vericel

I'm a geek, an entrepreneur, passionate about the mechanisms of influence, and I can’t stay away from news portals. I lead Influence Matters with the vison that only great work will drive the agency’s growth, so I put our clients’ results before anything else at work. My wife and 3 children are the bosses at home.I specialize in creating impactful ways to activate ecosystems of influence to generate awareness in highly targeted circles, with a particular focus on technology, market entry, corporate, brand and product communications. I was in China continuously from 2002 to 2023 and splitting my time between China and Indonesia since. I spent the first part of my career at two international agencies running high profile cross-border PR programs for large global and Chinese organizations, before figuring out these agencies’ structure did not suit the need for flexibility and efficiency required by today’s fast growing tech companies. We have run campaigns covering China, Taiwan and other Asian markets, through partnerships with affiliate agencies, for clients that include Soitec, Dialog Semiconductor, Spansion, Silicon Image, Atmel, Fairchild Semiconductors, ASG Software, Virtuos and Pactera.I led the office to grow revenue six fold, triple the number of (awesome) staff with a great staff retention record. By the end of my tenure, Racepoint Global Beijing was recognised in China as a premier PR and Marketing services agency for B2B tech and IT.
