fotobox-vermietung.nrw is a local company renting photobooth and corresponding equipment for events such as birthday parties, wedding parties or company events. Together with one of my best friends, I have founded this little company besides my main job. We started developing, programming and improving the photobooth experience as a hobby. However, due to its quick success, we decided to found a company to set our hobby on a professional basis. With a 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝 5-𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫-𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐠𝐥𝐞, we're happy to showcase 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞!

The non-profit organisation UPJ is a network of more than 40 companies of all sizes and from all industries seeting good example by spreading responsible corporate governance and corporate citizenship. As a spokesperson of UPJ company network, I 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 the UPJ member organisations 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 as well as 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 to its members and act in an 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 of UPJ e.V. I am also an 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 in its working groups and 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 during their onboarding and orientation process.

Ista's products and services create transparency in energy and water consumption and therefore help people make their contribution to climate protection.I 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚'𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 with its guiding principle "𝘞𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯." It includes five fields of action (Environment, Markets, Employees, Partners and Society) with five corresponding quantitative targets. With this strategy, we are able to focus on the most relevant sustainability topics of our business.For 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚'𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲, I trained as OKR-Master (𝘖𝘣𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘒𝘦𝘺 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘴) to use agile methods to 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐯𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬-𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬. This results in good collaboration and colleagues being highly motivated as they can directly link their activities to ista's sustainability strategy.𝐈 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 (𝘚𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘢, 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘺 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘢𝘴 𝘚𝘰𝘍𝘪 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘱) to professionalise ista's data collection and validation process. This helped us to collect data way faster and with higher data quality. We are now able to analyse our data way better and 𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 of about 25 members form all German sites with the aim of securing our 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 to ISO 50001 is also part of my job. With frequent communication and standardisation, I make sure that the members spend less time on mandatory documentation and have more resources for working on ista's energy efficiency at each site in Germany.

E.ON is one of Europe's biggest utility companies focusing on renewable electricity, grid operations and other energy services.As part of the HSE department within group management, I was mainly 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 (according to ISO 14001 and ISO 50001) within the E.ON group. I drove this by 𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 in working groups aiming to further develop the management systems. We developed 𝐚 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞-𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐇𝐒𝐄 𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐚𝐩 leading to more efficient and effective management systems.In addition, I was 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 (ISO 50001) for e.on Germany which was the biggest business entity with over 200 sites. By 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐬 and accompanying external HSE audits and therefore ensuring a 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.Last but not least, I was able to 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 during their process of re-designing e.on's sustainability strategy, regular sustainability reports, sustainability ratings and rankings as well as answering shareholder inquiries.

I worked at the group research department on environmental affairs on production. One part of my job was to 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐏𝐡𝐃-𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬 on the integration of environmental impacts in investment decisions. The other part was about 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐨𝐦 𝐮𝐩. Furthermore, I participated in various 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 but also 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 supporting the environmental management colleagues of the production plants helping them to 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐞 the main tasks of their 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬.

During my final trimester of my master studies, I had the opportunity to work for the gear unit development and production branch of Siemens. I was able to 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩 𝐚 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 for the product-portfolio department leading to a 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 of creating business cases. In addition, I wrote my master thesis with the title "𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐜𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 from a perspective of a gear unit supplier". I 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (British grading system).

During my final semester of my bachelor studies, I had the opportunity to work within business management department 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐝𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬. In addition, I wrote my bachelor thesis with the title "𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐠𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠" which I managed to 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 9 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 10 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬 (Dutch grading system).
