Led new bauxite and alumina product strategy to underpin investments in Yarwun refinery and Weipa mine extension.• Key account and relationship management for major purchasers and traders: Personal accountability for top five client relationships and negotiations in Japan, China and Middle East.• New market development: Spearheaded bauxite sales into China signing to significant 10 year agreements with two Chinese clients.• Shipping and logistics strategy: Championed use of owned, dedicated vessels and vessel leasing strategy cycling between Gladstone and China to significantly lower costs. Negotiated with MUA over split of vessels between Australian and foreign flag and crew.• Alumina trading: Oversaw extension of sales and marketing to 3rd party trading in the new Rio Tinto Alcan to significantly reduce logistics costs and extend portfolio with 3rd party trading margins.
