For over 18 years I have been working with children, young people and adults in various roles and in various educational contexts. From key stage 2 to key stage 5 in mainstream as well as special educational contexts, as well as degree undergraduates with two universities.I have used my specialist Computer Science knowledge to the full to provide not just an insight in to the subject, but a passion for learning. I am a Founding Member, Lead Advocate and Fellow of The Chartered College of Teaching. An autonomous member-driven organisation, established to promote the learning, improvement and recognition of the art, science and practice of teaching for the public benefit.The Fellowship (FCCT) was established to recognise the commitment and achievements of teachers and school leaders. This is an accolade held by some of the most committed teachers and leaders who have shown a significant and sustained contribution to the teaching profession. It is a formal mark of their achievements, skills and expertise as a teaching professional.The Fellowship is an opportunity to support career development and strengthen the teaching profession through the recognition of their expertise.I am also a Raspberry Pi Certified Educator who are graduates of continued professional development programme for teachers called Picademy. After two days of training, attendees of the course are equipped with skills, knowledge and enthusiasm to have a positive impact on their community with the Raspberry Pi.I am a Code Club volunteer for children aged 9 to 13 allowing them to creatively engage with coding. This is supported by; Nesta, The Cabinet Office, Google, Mozilla and The Nominet Trust, and is in partnership with ARM, Samsung UK, The Canary Wharf Group and Talk Talk. I am also a STEM Ambassador and is part of the 30,000 strong volunteers who are passionate about their careers, their companies or STEM background. The Ambassador programme enables businesses, organisations and individuals wanting to support young people in STEM to target their efforts and resources in a way that will deliver the best results for them and young people.Up until October 2022 I was an Edmodo Certified Trainer, Ambassador and Luminary. I was the first UK-based teacher to attain all three of these. I maintained this status from 2015 until 2022. There were around 250 ECTs and 520 Ambassadors globally out of over 100 million teacher and student users. I presented at Edmodocon in 2017 alongside Sal Khan of the Khan Academy, Anthony Salcito VP for Global Education at Microsoft, Richard Culatta...
