Project Description:Networks in Motion develops GPS Navigation software on smart phones that can not only navigate user to destinations, but also can do local search for restaurants, banks, events, etc. It has navigation software on BREW, Windows Mobile, Blackberry, iPhone and Android. Its customers range from Verizon, AT&T, Sprint to Virgin mobile with products being used all over the world.Work in customer delivery team and responsible for porting application to different devices and make sure the application runs as desired. Fix bugs that are specific to carriers and devices. The project was a research project for Sirius Radio, a satellite radio service company. The goal was to install relaying broadcasting point at places where satellite signal is blocked by tunnel or high buildings.Achievements:• Redesigned and developed software that captures satellite signal from modulator to a file to be used for tuning the modulator; Solved the capture interruption problem by using multi-threading in C under Linux, the capacity increased from 600MB to 7GB and more• Employed software in C that bit-shifts files captured by modulator to make the file decodable and playable in Sirius radio hand held device• Developed satellite transmission quality measurement software with GUI using VB.Net in Windows that can open excel file and calculate the measurement and write the result into another excel file; Packed the software with setup.exe file and provided instructionEnvironment: C, VB.net, VBA, Linux, Windows
