Prior to her being Sold and this being the reason for the discontinuation of the cooperation, the fleet consisted of 4 fairly new product carriers, 5 Medium range product carriers and three container vessels under saling process. Among other duties I was assigned with the responsibilities of the Technical Manager as well as the following:• Strategic planning and budgeting for whole company• Planning all major expenditure including repairs and dry-docking• Controlling the company’s financial activities with regard of contract approval/acceptance, major invoices / expenses,• Coordinate the company’s ship management departmental activities relating to the day-to-day safe management and good operation of the company and its ships.• Ensure appropriate and satisfactory systems are in place for monitoring company’s performance and its fleet against plans and budgets.• Maintaining a competent organization and assigning authority and responsibilities.• Monitoring performance through internal audits as follows:o Function executed by the Marine Managero Function executed by the supply department o Function executed by the operation departmento Post fixture monitoring and day-to-day vessel’so Management through relative departmento Claims prevention and handling• Development and implementation of the company safety management and ISPS system.• Ensure that SOX processes are understood and implemented by the relevant employees.

Having mostly modern containers on Bare Boat charter, I was employed, exceptionally due to personal relation with the Owner, as a Senior Technical Advisor for the new Orders extensive program, leading all technical meetings and discussions Held with shipyards for the orders effected. The orders placed were for PCTC’S vessels and for 9x13000 & 8x13000 TEU containers, related to the specifications of the vessels and any other technical aspect Prior commencing the keel laid.

I was employed in the position of Technical Director in a newly established and rapid expanding Company. They have had purchased 9 vessels in total, in less than one year .We were managers for “Go Carriers” a company listed in London stock exchange market owning at the beginning 3 and at later stage 7 vessels. Despite the fact that the Company was in close proximity of my residence, I decided to join Niki shipping since the Managing Director of Niki Shipping is one with whom I have worked for nine years in my earlier days when i was with Delphic Shipping in the position of The Technical Director.

I was employed in the company for the position of Technical Director, in a department comprised of 22 people. Three (3) fleet Managers, a varying number of superintendent Engineers (7-9 at the most),two supporting engineers, and a team of four (4) people assigned as a riding squad for dealing with maintenance of equipment/machineries occasionally attended at various ports for overhauling / repairs. The fleet of the company consisted of 33 vessels of varying size, forming a dual fold fleet for dry cargoes, containers and bulk carriers.

During the almost 14 years period in the same company I have served in the positions of: a) 1986-1995, Technical manager/ head of the insurance and claim. b) 1984-1986, Senior superintendent engineer reporting directly to the Technical manager c) 1982-1984, Superintendent engineer/Project manager. Main objective, to handle technical problems and operation associated with a fleet of 15 bulk carriers/cement carriers, 2 tug boats and 8 non- self propelled terminals. Supervising co-ordinating and maintaining vessels conformity with International, national and class requirements, preparing vessels for enhance surveys, preparing non-self propelled terminals for under tow voyages, co-ordinating with salvage association, performed numerous surveys of vessels condition, involved and performed on behalf of the owner, all calculation and surveys towards investigating the relative speeds of the vessels and angle of blow (collision cases).
