Support the EUI academic community or #researchdata throughout the research lifecycle. Engage at all levels to policy, technology and best practices in support of a #FAIR data culture at the EUI.

Engage with faculty and researchers to foster the implementation and adoption of Open Science principles, technologies, policies and best practices to maximize the reach, impact and reuse of the EUI research.

Drive and manage the international funded projects work at LIBER. Projects portfolio include the EU-funded projects AARC2, EOSCpilot, FOSTER+, OpenAIRE, and OpenMinTeD and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation funded project HuMetricsHSS. Lead the development of new project partnership, project proposals, and their alignment with the other LIBER activities according to the 2018-2022 LIBER Strategy.

Coordinate LIBER's efforts across all EU-funded projects LIBER participates in, including AARC, OpenAIRE, EOSCpilot, EUDAT, FOSTER+, FutureTDM, LEARN, OpenMinTeD. Identify and assess opportunities for new project partnership.

As the Open Science Officer at LIBER I work with partner institutions, lead efforts, and liaise with stakeholders in the context of EU-funded projects in the areas of Open Science, Scholarly Communication, and Research Data Management. Example of project and initiatives include: EUDAT, the European Open Science Cloud for Research Pilot (EOSCpilot) project, and RDA Europe.

As Head, Scholarly Communication Services, I am a member of the senior leadership of the Center for Digital Research and Scholarship at Columbia University Libraries. My role is to provide leadership, strategic direction, and supervise a team of library professional staff working on information & data management, outreach, and R&D programs in the areas of scholarly communication, open access, and long–term digital stewardship in support of Columbia’s mission to “advance knowledge and learning at the highest level and to convey the products of its efforts to the world.” I collaborate with Columbia’s Center for Teaching and Learning on a initiatives to support the embedding of digital literacy components into graduate courses and I am the designated instructor for their “Open Practices in Research and Scholarship” workshop.I also conduct research (and have taught graduate–level courses) in the areas of scholarly communication, digital publishing, digital stewardship, data curation, metadata, information modeling, and conceptual foundations of LIS.

As Research and Scholarship Initiatives manager I played a pivotal role within Columbia University Libraries in incubating, driving, and managing innovative initiatives and services to support Columbia’s researchers and scholars in broadening the reach and impact of their reseach and scholarly outputs.
