Engage with clients throughout the project life cycle to set and achieve buy-in to agreed objectives, monitor project progress and communicate critical insights and key findings. Review full extent of accepted tenders with respect to scope, price and programme and seek clarity of any issue that is unclear and/ or difficult to execute. At each stage of the project, develop or oversee the development of project documentation that reference the project charter (what are we doing, why are we doing it, how much will it cost, who is involved in terms of key roles and project sponsors etc.). Facilitate stakeholder buy-in by challenging in a solution-focused way, displaying assertiveness rather than aggression in how challenges are positioned. Facilitate workshops to research, analyse and understand underlying project motivations and core assumptions,and key players and their motivations, agendas, roles and mandates. Obtain agreement on the project concept, displaying flexibility in adapting communication styles to facilitate understanding and achieve buy-in / traction from different audiences.
