As I was busy working I would make extra cash from cleaning my brothers shoes, I did this from an early age since my high school days, I looked forward to that, yeah extra cash. As I grew older and continued cleaning my brother’s shoes, family members started referring friends and the community to me if they had anything related to shoes. Self funded from the start of the business where I was working in my grandmothers stoep.I had to do everything on my own from marketing to cleaning and delivering shoes to customers. At the time I was working as a customer service agent at one of SA’s biggest multimedia company which also played a major role in enhancing my skills from a service point of view as I Iearned more about the importance of customer service in any business, I eventually quit my job as I saw the positive feedback and the demand from my community rose.
