Senior Technician
Duties – Gautrain Maintenance DepotTo ensure safe, reliable and available trains per customer requirements, primarilythrough corrective and Preventative maintenance.o Ensure quality and safe workingo Carry out corrective maintenance taskso Perform data acquisition and analysiso Do fault finding and repairso Repair or replace faulty components according to specifications and requirementso Work according to VMI procedure and instructionso Follow Depot procedures and instructionso Reading Schematics and drawings (software, electronic, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical)o Accurate reporting of work done on MAXIMOo Provide guidance to train drivers to rectify in-service faults in order to minimize train delays (when required)o Ensure that there are clear communication with driver and operator during train failure (when required)o Attend daily planning meetingso Ensure Health and safety regulations and procedures are compliedo Do a fitness to Run checks on the trains and sign them off to service after maintenance and work has been done on them.o Mechanical setting of Gautrain's IFE automatic doors
