I'm a Financial lines underwriter with over 5 years experience specialising in the following lines of business:Directors and Officers liability. Commercial Crime.Employment Practice Liability. Pension, provident, medical schemes and general Trustees Liability.Crime and Civil liability.Kidnap and Ransom.I have had wonderful opportunities working with Big brands in the financial services industry. My first employer was Barclays through a Letsema Learnership for 12 months, 8 months after the expiry of the Learnership I got an opportunity at Standard Bank working in the Trust administration department and handling switchboard queries, Immediately after the end of my contract with Standard Bank I got an opportunity with AIG where I was processing policies based on instructions from underwriters - renewals, extensions, new business, lapse or cancellations and any endorsements. I started a new role at the end of my 6 months contract where i joined the underwriting team for a 12 months learnership, I was then promoted to underwriter at the end of the Learnership and started working directly with brokers based on my underwriting mandate. During the year 2019 I was selected for a Wonderful Opportunity which was a learning program (FLU II) Financial Lines University II, hosted in Madrid Spain at the time for 1 Week. The program was about underwriting fundamentals and aligning our underwriting approach with all the industry changes and trends as well as guidance from industry experts on how to adapt to drastic changes in the market as well as soft changes including negotiation skills. In 2021 I got an opportunity at ITOO where I'm currently working as a financial lines underwriter and I have since started to underwrite a new line of business (Crime and Civil Liability) and further developing my underwriting acumen on all other lines of businesses.Life Outside the Office: Father of 2 lovely boys and married to my high school sweetheart ☺️.Before corporate life I used to be a versatile dancer for a living 😊. Dancing is part of who I am, I command the dance floor when I'm on stage and have concoured the stages from the dusty streets of Soweto up to Sandton, Vaal, Pretoria and all other areas within the surroundings of Gauteng, Winner takes all competitions, Music Videos and Other Paying projects E.G. AFCON 2013, S.As Got Talent and Bounce dance competition. I can still Dance 😀 and I will Dance until my last steps.
