CurrentThe Chairperson of the TMS is responsible for leading and managing the society, organizing social events, fostering industry engagement, and providing career development opportunities for mining engineering students.Key Responsibilities:Event Planning and Coordination:-Organize and execute social events and activities for mining engineering students, such as parties, game nights, and industry visits.-Collaborate with student members and faculty advisors to plan and execute events that promote student engagement and well-being.-Manage event budgets and ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures.Industry Engagement:-Establish and maintain relationships with industry professionals, alumni, and companies in the mining sector.-Organize industry visits, guest lectures, and networking events to expose students to real-world applications and career opportunities.-Facilitate mentorship programs to connect students with experienced mining engineers.Career Development:-Assist students with career planning, resume building, and interview preparation.-Promote internship and job opportunities within the mining industry.-Organize career fairs and workshops to connect students with potential employers.Leadership and Management:-Lead the TMS executive committee and delegate responsibilities effectively.-Represent the TMS at university and industry events.-Foster a positive and inclusive environment within the society.Communication and Outreach:-Maintain regular communication with students, faculty, and industry partners.-Utilize social media and other communication channels to promote TMS events and activities.-Develop and maintain the TMS website or online presence.
