Operation and maintenance of the chairlifts and chairlifts shafts up to the end of the chairlifts landings.3. Operation and maintenance of all the underground conveyor belts and conveyor belts shafts and entrances and escape ways to and from conveyor belts shafts.4.The compressed air and water reticulation installed in the different shaft systems in this section5. All engineering functions from 18 level down to shaft bottom 28 level6. The electrical and instrumentation systems in this section7. The railbound equipment is this section as described in the mandatory code of practrice for railbound equipment.8. All contractors and sub-contractors working in this section.

Reporting to Mine Engineering Manager Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations.Manage, control and maintenance of production equipment, services and stone work equipment, conveyor belts, electrical reticulation, water reticulation, diesel equipment, ventilation fans, winders and hoists. This includes maintaining maintenance standards.Evaluate problems encountered by production sections in respect of infrastructure support and implement remedial measures.Drive condition-based proactive maintenance actions.Monitor sub-assembly life, failure analysis and condition monitoring in conjunction with the team.Cost Management by compiling and managing an all-inclusive budget, Operational, Geographical and Capital, based on planned schedules.Liaise with the inspectorate of mining on statutory matters.Investigate and implement best practices in maintenance and operation of equipment.Drive continuous improvements objectives (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Moral)Use information to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance system.Safety management including the creation and maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment and engineering safety. This includes maintaining safety standards.Apply and adhere to the applicable Acts, COP’s and SOP’s in area of responsibilityExecute administrative duties
