Working closely with Strategic Procurement, Planning, and Treasury to manage the bulk raw material requirements for British Steel. Overseeing the handling of circa 5 million tonnes annually of bulk iron ore, coal, and coke. Responsibilities within this team cover the annual payment and financing of $450m of material costs. External financing arranged, covers agreeing and handling the pricing, sale and re-purchase within these facilities. Provide Senior Management with a financial analysis of raw material requirements, working with planners to provide buying and stock positions and evaluating annual and short date material forecasts.

Main responsibility is to provide business partner support for the iron works operational management team, to interpret financial data and explain the financial performance, for a manufacturing area with an annual spend in excess of £200m. Provide support and accounting expertise to the Strategic Procurement and Treasury functions for the procurement and re-financing of bulk raw materials.

After a change in policy was implemented I was integral in transitioning the workload back to Scunthorpe.
