In addition to my duties as a policy analyst, I am responsible for other communications-related activities including social media, speech writing, correspondence, video production, and future communications planning. In 2011, I was approached by EDP Sante, a Paris-based leading publisher of health journals and magazines to create a Canadian edition of Audio Infos, a magazine for audiology professionals.

Worked with the CFFF from its inception to build a national media profile and a social media presence. Within one year of the creation of our Facebook site, the CFFF had more than 3,500 members. Managed national and regional media relations surrounding the ceremony and the lives of the fallen. Produced videos of the ceremony every year. As a result of the efforts of a small group of us, the CFFF now has a monument in Ottawa to honor fallen firefighters.
