This work was an incredible opportunity that involved building many successful partnerships throughout the Disneyland Resort area and creating an internationally renowned family friendly brand. The scope included 303 rooms, $13M top line revenue, meeting room, themed water recreation area, and a partner restaurant. I was responsible for strategy development, content, budget management, digital marketing, brand activation, trade shows, social media events and client acquisition. To enhance our in-house eCommerce efforts I hired and managed external digital marketing agencies for SEO, paid search, reputation management, and social media content.Digital marketing was a main focus in promoting the hotel. I led creation and launch of a new social media program that led to a strong brand presence in Anaheim and increased audience engagement by 20%. At the same time, I expanded the product reach footprint to dominate the Australian, New Zealand, and Canadian markets. This was Marriott’s first Courtyard designed entirely for families. The scope included 221 bunk bed rooms, $18M top line revenue, meeting room, 20,000 square-foot waterpark, and food/beverage outlets. I led the pre-opening strategy and launch, growing the hotel’s reputation. My work involved multiple media and channels. I led strategic content creation, managed the website, and expanded awareness via digital, print, trade shows and social media channels. To increase the hotel’s brand footprint, I built and executed a social media campaign that amplified the family friendly brand image and visual identity. Building and managing relationships was a critical part of my strategy, including partnerships with review sites, influencers, wholesalers, online travel agencies, and outsourced marketing contacts.
