I am a fourth-year PhD candidate in a collaborative programme between the School of Medical Science and Technology at IIT Kharagpur and the Microbiology Department at Tata Medical Center Kolkata. My broad area of research is infection control, and I am focused on the regional prevalence of antimicrobial resistance and pneumonia in patients with cancer. This programme has allowed me to be skilled in clinical research as well as microbiology diagnostics.My educational background includes a Masters in Molecular Medical Microbiology from IIT Kharagpur, which came after a BSc with double majors in Microbiology and Biochemistry.
