I am a junior NHS doctor with a strong interest in surgery. I am currently working as a Specialized Foundation Year 2 Doctor at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust on the National Institute for Health Research Integrated Academic Training Programme.Throughout my medical education at the University of Southampton, I achieved a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Science degree with Distinction in the BM Final examination. Additionally, I pursued a Master of Science in Clinical Neuroscience at King's College London, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neuroscience, where I received a Distinction and the prestigious Gold Medal for my exceptional performance.My passion for research and contributing to medical knowledge is evident through my involvement in various publications and research projects. I have co-authored publications in Orthopaedics and Trauma Journal and BMJ Innovations Journal. Furthermore, my Master's thesis focused on the relationship between sleep deprivation and migraine-related sensory processing.Recognized for my academic achievements, I have been awarded several honors. I have also received prizes for my essays on sustainable surgery and the examination of racism as a socioeconomic determinant of health.In addition to my medical work, I actively engage in positions and roles of responsibility. Currently, I serve as a South Midlands Deanery Representative on the Foundation Doctor's Advisory Board, where I represent Foundation Doctors at the national level. I am also involved with the Health Pioneers Charity, mentoring and teaching young individuals in community health projects.Throughout my career, I have been committed to giving back and have volunteered with organizations such as the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare, Porridge and Rice Kenya, and Care for Calais and FAST. These experiences have enriched my perspective on healthcare and sustainability.With a diverse range of work experience and electives, including placements at Great Ormond Street Hospital and UCL Neurology and Neurosurgery Hospital, I have gained valuable insights into specialized fields and honed my clinical skills.I am passionate about surgical care and committed to delivering excellence in patient outcomes.
