Managing research projects, from design to implementation, across a wide range of geographies (Bangladesh, Uganda, South Sudan, Sierra Leone, Kenya and Liberia) with IORGs in the forced displacement, migration, financial inclusion, human trafficking and SGBV sector.

Responsible for designing and implementing research projects on labor, health, instructional design, and digital financial inclusion across India, China, and Bangladesh. I led the expansion into financial inclusion in the India office, managed partnerships, collaborated on fundraising, and handled the budget and financial management for six projects (~USD 800K valuation). I also trained and managed a team of five research and senior associates, fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment that promoted intellectual curiosity and high retention. I also streamlined strategic systems within the research vertical, including ethical, research, hiring, and budgeting protocols.

Managing and supervising a project aimed to understand the price competition strategies of fruit vendors in New Delhi. The objective of the project is to understand why are informal markets, such as the vendor market, not in perfect competition, especially with free entry and exit to the market space. The policy implication derives an estimated oversupply and high price benchmarks, making both labour resource and market inefficient. Managing day-to-day operations such as designing surveys, modifying design ideas, hiring and overseeing staff, managing task administration, grant documentation, funding requirements, and data systems management.Principal Investigators: Dr. Matthew Lowe ( Assistant Professor at UBC) and Dr. Ben Roth ( Assistant Professor at HBS)Independently conducted an extensive literature review for two projects under Prof. Matt Lowe on effects of religious conversion on crime rates and effects of a traditional cash transfer on income levels in Britain.Additionally, I have also worked with the Policy Team at J-PAL, towards the "Mission Karmayogi": Indian government’s flagship program on civil service capacity building. I have worked on supporting the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) implement Mission Karmayogi and assessing the training needs and strategising the competency mapping framework required by 20 million public officials in India. I was responsible for building the database of blended and face-to-face courses that map to the skills and knowledge identified by DoPT. I have gained experience in efficient communication with government stakeholders, nd offering quick turn around to deliverables for central government organizations.

Behavioural Development Lab in collaboration with J-PAL South AsiaManaging and supervising a project aimed to understand the capacity for building sustainedattention skills in primary school students in India. The objective of the project isto understand whether attention skills can be trained through access to adaptive mathand cognitive games software. Managing a team of 20 program assistants in day-to-dayoperations of the lab including hiring and overseeing staff, managing survey andlaboratory task administration, and data systems management. Responsible for the administrationof the RCTs, as well as exploratory work to develop new research. Statisticaland econometric analysis, along with management of large data-sets.Principal Investigators: Dr. Heather Schofield - Assistant Professor of Medical Ethics andHealth (UPENN) and Dr. Supreet Kaur – Assistant Professor of Economics (UC Berkeley).I have additionally worked with Heather on a pilot in the gender space, in independently running a pilot program for 300+ student across Lucknow, understanding the malleability of confidence levels arising due to differences in gender and social norms among young primary students, using behavioural experimental methods.
