− Supported the development and automation of test code to calibrate / test the pluggable modems Tx / Rx and optical systems to ensure functionality, accuracy, and performance− Worked within the NPI (New Product Introduction) organization and design team environment with the operation test engineering team to create / maintain the calibration and test objectives, procedures and optical system requirements− Configured and set up optical test equipment in lab, including optical spectrum analyzer, power meter, attenuator, fiber optic inspection microscope, optical switches, amplifier, multimeter, and other measurement devices− Designed and implemented automated test scripts and user-friendly software application to improve efficiency and repeatability in optical testing processes by utilizing scripting language MATLAB and object-oriented programming, employed Git (Bitbucket) for version control, and Jira for project management− Implemented quality control measures to ensure optical components meet specified standards and ensured optical testing processes comply with industry standards and regulations− Improved troubleshooting efficiency by investigating discrepancies in test data, such as unexpected patterns or outliers, debugging script failures and modify scripts to improve reliability, addressing interference or noise affecting optical signal and documented fault coverage and test strategy− Recognized anomalies in optical test results, identifying and investigating inconsistencies to determine the root cause− Analyzed data statistically by utilizing Data Analysis tool, MS Excel, Python to generate reports, Pareto charts, and plot data, which assess the performance and quality of optical components and effectively presenting findings to the team
