CurrentDesign, I believe, should have a human-centered approach. It should integrate the needs of end users, the possibilities of technology in the futuristic world and the requirements for a successful business. It is important for people to connect themselves emotionally to the place they spend a large part of the day in.I have been responsible in designing and delivering corporate offices in India. My experience has been exhaustive since I have worked with diverse clientele like Oracle, HSBC, Societe Generale, PWC, Atlassian, Here Technologies, Google, Micron and Wells Fargo to name a few. In most of these projects, as is the need of the hour, sustainability and wellness in workspaces has played a huge role and I have closely worked with LEED consultants to comply and achieve certificates for WELL and LEED rating. Technology has always enhanced workspaces. It has been interesting to see how it has played a transforming role in our lives during the pandemic. Research shows us how this is changing the way the workspace looks. It has taught me to create spaces that are agile and flexible to adapt to the new ways of working. To me, it is important that every design is based on a creative narration. That narrative must connect itself to the user and the culture of the company and to tie up spaces to one central theme.
