Finance -Assisting the UK Finance Manager/ Corporate Accountant in preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts, including generation and analysis of monthly cost centre reports/discussion with budget holders -Assisting the UK Finance Manager/ Corporate Accountant in budgeting and forecasting processes for UK Country Office -Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations -Calculation and posting of journals -Preparation of sales orders for invoice preparation by shared services -Preparation and analysis of tax package information -Assisting preparation of Internal Controls documentation for Corporate and Pension Scheme -Internal controls testing at other units -Assisting the UK Finance Manager/ Corporate Accountant on other departmental tasks/priorities Tax -Management of the Tax Compliance calendar in line with internal control requirements – requesting information from businesses where returns are completed by the UK tax function, ensuring the information is received, and ensuring the business units have submitted the returns that they submit direct to HMRC -Review of VAT returns, raising and following up on queries, submission of returns and advising the business of actions required e.g. payments etc. -Recharge of tax department costs -Follow up of requests for information from UK businesses -Manage tax department purchase order and invoicing requirements -Re-distribution of documentation and requests received in the tax department Treasury -Cash management. -Supporting internal control initiatives in the Treasury team -Providing administrative support, including sending requests to UK businesses for information and chasing responses -Supporting the units compliance with bank mandate and bonds and guarantees processes
