I led a team of four Career Specialists to match inmates and ex-offenders to jobs, as a first important step towards their successful reintegration to society and development of their careers. The role had:- Sharpened my customer service skills through interaction with multiple stakeholders, including employers, Members of Parliament, Prison counterparts, family members, and partners from other agencies;- Improved my project and time management skills to manage constant changes and new initiatives;- Improved my adaptability and ability to manage challenges, both day-to-day and process-related; and- Deepened my understanding of staff development.
