Running my own studio since 2017, my primary focus is exploring how architecture can enhance social connection and address social isolation. My Master's Thesis delved into this topic by studying Transitional Spaces, and I am currently pursuing a PhD on how New Housing Models can promote neighbourhood social connectedness.The Carcavelos Health Complex is a prime example of my socially-driven architectural approach. The project is centered around a public garden featuring a café, a children's playground, and multifunctional covered areas where patients, workers, local residents, and students from the nearby school can interact and gather.I am also teaching Architectural Design at FA-UL University and am passionate about sharing knowledge with my students and colleagues.
