I am currently a PhD candidate in Environmental Science and Engineering at Aveiro University in Portugal, focusing on Urban Environmental Comfort. My research investigates the impact of spatial components on air and sound quality, as well as public perceptions of environmental comfort. In addition to my academic pursuits, I am a co-founder of Mammute Urban Innovation Studio (MUIS), where we design innovative solutions for urban issues through co-creation techniques, asset-based planning, and urban branding leveraging local assets. My current research at MUIS emphasizes developing community-based planning processes that promote public participation, good governance, restorative city concepts, and urban innovation clusters.I hold a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from Shiraz University in Iran, where my research utilized system dynamics to analyze urban functions on a regional scale, introducing a new definition for urban function that considers space notions and the roles of key stakeholders such as government, planners, residents, and developers.My professional development includes participation in several short courses at the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS), Erasmus University Rotterdam. These courses, supported by MSP scholarships, covered Urban Management and Development Theories (UMDT, 2018), Sustainable Urban Development (SUD, 2022), and Green Cities for Eco-Efficiency (GCEE, 2022).My expertise spans Urban Innovation and Solution designing.
