I am an expert in Humanitarian Access and Coordination with over nine (9) years of experience; seven of which in UNOCHA and two years in a German INGO Welthungerhilfe. Through my tenure at OCHA, I have strengthened my coordination, diplomatic, and outreach skills. I have coordinated logistical arrangements for the crossing of the UN humanitarian cargo from Turkey to North-West Syria. I helped build and develop diplomatic relationships with governmental institutions to strengthen the liaison system. I am also experienced in assisting the humanitarian community to obtain the necessary permissions/protocols for the humanitarian program implementation in affected regions. Also, I have been heavily involved in Civil-Military Coordination by informing related parties of humanitarian movements and static locations. I also advocate for a smooth cash transfer system between Turkey and Syria, critical to the sustainability of undergoing projects in Syria. I also draft periodical/thematic reports and spreadsheets to be used in the preparation of the Humanitarian Response Plan. While with Welthungerhilfe, I developed project proposals, memorandums of understanding, and reports (periodic and financial reports) to be shared with headquarters and donor institutions. I participated in field assessments, capacity-building activities, leading 11 staff, and a multi-million Euro program implementation in electronic cash, FSL, and NFI assistance in Turkey and Northern Iraq. *Since September 2022 as a key Associate Humanitarian Officer, I am watchkeeping and doing information analysis in the Joint Coordination Center – Black Sea Grain Initiative for the vessels to go Ukrainian ports from Istanbul to load grain and return through a close and strong coordination with Türkiye, Ukraine, and Russian Federation. * I hold an MBA and Bachelor’s degree in economics. I am fluent in English, Turkish, and Kurdish, and have an intermediate level of Arabic.
